It's like a big family scrapbook filled with 276 pages of color
photographs of American living. Being the oldest of nine (seven
boys, two girls), and the self-appointed archivist of the family
I have been snapping away at family events, holidays, summers, and
all manner of get-togethers for years. American Family Style is
a visual compendium of American family holidays--Christmas, Easter,
the Fourth of July, and Thanksgiving. There are over fifty family
recipes from Turkey Lurkey Pie to Icebox Shrimp. (There's even a
recipe for redoing old floors!) Photographed at Muskettoe Pointe
Farm, our family's seventeenth century home in Virginia, in our
New York City apartment and in various family homes and getaways,
there are lots of tried-and-true decorating and entertaining tips
and tales. And because some of my family has green thumbs (not me!)
some plain truths about gardening (lots of herb lore) and lots of
potluck flower arranging!
American Family Style, (Viking Studio Books, 1988, 276 pages)
is out of print. Luckily I have a personal, but limited stash. Not
only that, but I am happy to inscribe the book to you or a friend.
Please fill in below the name to be inscribed.
