My junk books started after my conversion from collector to junker.* (For more on that you can click to Call Me Carter, my junker's life.) No other author before me had had the guts, chutzpah, or support from their publisher (and that was a fight!) to call a book on decorating and collecting--American Junk! That was seven years ago and three junk books later--Garden Junk, Kitchen Junk and now Big City Junk, my passion for the hunt is still going strong. Below you will find a little synopsis of each junk book and how to buy copies if you are interested. Yes, I am working on another Junk book! No, I can't yet reveal the subject! If you have any ideas about what you would like to see in my next installment, please email me. Junkers need to share!

*Junknote: I had published two other books before the Junk series--American Family Style in 1988 and The Welcome Book in 1991. I have included them in Junk Books because they are part of my publishing history, and you may not have known that. It's reminds me of how Ann Rice is mostly known for her vampire books, when in truth she wrote some very good books that had nothing to do with those dashing creatures.
